My dad gave me On the Road when I was 13. I read it devouringly. Since then, I’ve crafted a voice and writing style driven by rhythm and wildness and cinematic poise. Currently I'm working on a 10-part profile series which examines the countercultural figure of our era -- culturally, and politically, on both the Left and the Right, who have been largely ignored. For the first part, I wrote about Dave Rubin,, the series will eventually be compiled and released as a book.
Fiction is my greatest love, though. I recently finished a collection of short stories titled "Sleeping in Jeans," I’ve spent half my life in Europe and half my life in America, and those cultures come alive in the collection. The stories are character-driven, lively. They vary stylistically, but the animating idea is that life is wild and remarkable and occasionally destructive.
